Am I the only one who loves 70s Blaxploitation movies? My favorite is probably Foxy Brown but I also like Give Me Five On The Black Hand Side, Cooley High etc. as well as Dead Presidents even though it came on in the 90s. What about you (especially the posters who grew up in the 70s).

Cooley High is an all time favorite, hands down, although I don't necessarily consider it a Blaxploitation. The Women of Brewster's Place was an entertaining mini-series.

I grew up in the 70s and I remember plenty of those Blaxploitation movies. My all time favorite was Blackula. Claudine and 3 the Hard way get honorable mention.

I think a problem here is in labeling all black cinema fromthe 70s "blakploitation". I don't think the following fit that category:Claudine; Roots; Cornbread, Earl and Me; Cooley High; Sparkle.

Black Caesar; the Mack; Shaft; Coffey; Cleopatra Jones---yeah. A common themes of many Blaxploitation films are racism/police abuse and corruption. The in-justice system and it's effects on Black life.

My favorite is the entire Black Cobra series starring Fred Williamson, and Hammer. His character "Robert Malone" was an ideal citizen who was a tough anti-gang crusader. Even though i don't like cop movies, Malone was a positive role model for black youth.
