Black Relationships : "Fathherless" women lack relationship skills

Based on my expirence as a young woman, I notice that girl's who grow up without a fater-figure or strong influence from their father don't choose the best mates. Iagree that an absent father may not be the sole reason, but from observation, it definately plays a role.

I would have to say that it's not really that not having a father equals bad relationship skills. It's more to the point of not having a positive relationship model. If all a woman has heardseen are negative things about men, she'll believe it. If she's always heard/seen men that romance, wine and dine, she'll come to expect that. If her father left her and her mother, she may very well expect every man in her life to run out on her. Without positive images, in most cases, people have difficulty seeing anything positive around them.
