To my father, these special words are for you
I thank you for guiding me through life
Being there for me, giving me good advice
I thank you for standing your ground whenever I was wrong
I thank you for keeping together this happy home
I thank you for the way you make me feel secure and safe
And the little things like the big smile on your face
I thank you for your support being there whenever I was in need
I thank you for life itself, in you I will always believe
To me you will always be number one
I thank you for what I have become
Enjoy this day, which you truly deserve
From within my heart I write these special words

If the human father is away from the home
God the almighty father will never leave you alone

Do your best fathers, you only get one trip on this ride!

Very Nice tribute to Fathers Day!

For all the men, who bring in birth. Hold your children above the earth. Keep them strong, and feed them them worth. Bless the children on GOD's green earth. Each and everyone is special. So treat them like it matters. Do your best to be the father and man, your son can mimic, and believe in. Be the kind of father your daughter can rely on. Show her that a man, is someone to love, and can provide love. Watch them grow and be there in their time of need. If fatherhood was a wheel, know you are the spokes turning in the center of a strong family.

Many childen today don't know their fathers. I mean they live with them, but miss the essence their father contain. I recall one conversation with my father, and in a matter of five minutes. I saw he was good. Despite his misgivings, and missteps. He is only human. Being so we all are subject to failure, and success. Who am I to judge.

Could it be the racism he experienced. Could it be World War II he fought in Germany. Could it have been the pressures he believed surrounded him, and the need to have those he thought were important see him as someone strong , powerful and in control. These things took my fathers focus. He knows now and that he took his loved one's for granted. Not me, nor my eight brothers and sisters. Hold him to any judgement. He knows and we have let him know. We Honor thy father and mother.

As we come to this FATHERS DAY. Take a look at the real truth. You know if he was there. You know if he was fair. You know everything he has, and will ever have to give and leave you. But don't let him leave you without saying you love him! :luvv: DAD

An ode to the father who is your parent, and to the one above. This was a beautiful write.
