Father watched daughter's attack at school on TV

    By: Lisa Benson

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - A Kansas City father demands that the Kansas City Missouri School District does something to protect students, after watching his daughter's attack on television.

Tyrone Hooker was out of town on business when he saw video of a savage-after school fight at Paseo Academy . It wasn't until he got a phone call later Friday evening that he realized the student was his 16-year-old daughter Tazneed Hooker.

"There is an older girl who say she don't like her, cause she mean-mugged her, whatever that mean," said Hooker.

Hooker says he spent part of the day visiting with the principal and even got a phone call from the district superintendent, so he was surprised when a Kansas City Missouri police officer told him that he was not allowed on property.

Hooker believes the school consolidation has caused turmoil at Paseo Academy. He says following his conversation with the superintendent, he's optimistic that he will do something to protect students.

In the meantime, Hooker plans to pick his daughter up from school, even if that means standing on the sidewalk.

    Hmmph...

If he isn't allowed there he should pull his daughter out of that school.
One minute they are protesting about parents involvement with their
children in school, but let someones child get assaulted on school grounds
and the parents shows up. Now they don't want the parent around.

They're probably gonna say something like, they have to protect the students
against angry parents. But what are they doing to protect the students against
bullies and the violence of other students?

    What the heck is that?

The public school system don't care , too much have happen over the years
and still going on cross the nation ....Our children areat risk every day to shootings
    fights/stabbings and hate crimes

I agree if he can't step foot on the school grounds how was it that others who don't
go there able to be on the grounds and he should pull his child from that school
go deeper and have a full investigation done.

That have to be hard to watch live your child in a school like mobbin or fight

A good lawyer would put an end to that BS and get the administrator fired. You cant tell me I a tax payer and attendant of that school would be trespassing

that's exactly what he should do.. and he should make an attempt to convince
every other like-minded parent to do the same thing.. Parents need to be
organized across school boundaries in order to make a seat for themselves at
the table with the Teachers and Administrators.. the PTA organization prohibits
parents from growing their local PTA beyond a single school.. they keep us
divided to mute our influence.. We need City, County and Statewide parent
associations.. someone has got to represent the interests of the children..
the Teachers represent the teachers.. the Administrators represent the state..
who represents the kids? Nobody.. small, unorganized parent associations that
are usually obsessed with bake sales.. and local funding issues.. they never
get involved with the larger decisions that affect the quality of the education
    our kids receive..

He should pull her.. even if he is the only parent to do it..

I agree with you. I would have pulled my child out, too. That is too much control for a school. We have the right as parents to voice our concerns. On the other hand, what did he say that could have caused the school to ban him?
