Hearing the words since I was young
    Hearing mama’s song being sung
    Daddy teaching me about life
Being taught about God that can take away pain & strife
    Fighting with sister & brother
Doesn’t stop the love we have for one another
    Remembering grandma’s cakes
Thinking about those cookies she used to bake
    Makes me really appreciate
    The things done for me
    By those called family
    Sacrificing so I can succeed
Making sure I had everything that I need
When I fell they were there to comfort me
When I excelled they were there to rejoice with me
So I pay tribute to those who mean so much to me
Those that I call my family.

"Appreciation" that is what it's all about.
