Black farmers love
powered through roots
deep mississippi lingo
tame in the justice twist
da birth of poetry grew
from the patch of fields
wisdom learned from da
voices of momma and
hand raised by daddy's
knowledge through struggle
like black mallass of depth
the foundation rise

now it speakz clearly, loudly
through the new life of da city
milked from da breast
sending indingo beats
waves of motions through
da souls feeling depth of
awareness poeticly embracing
da history of farmers hand

I AM MY KEEPER AND MY FAMILY
BOND THEREFORE I SHALL PROTECT

children of mind
pose a wealth
be not afraid of tomorrow
da whip & chains gone
I suffer enough for us all
through the stillness of night
and the looming beating lash
to my back , scars tell the story
of thy history and the depression
of the minds today
broken down farmer handz
blistered tired feet
scared 4 life on these
city streets

MY NAME IS WHO I AM
NOT WHAT ONE MAY CALL ME
I AM HISTORY thy family treasure
and dear GOD i'm here
:crying:
