Black People : False Info does not = Success

To cap it off:
Approximately 3 million women in the United States have inherited bleeding disorders (1). Von Willebrand disease is the most common inherited bleeding disorder, with a prevalence of 0.6–1.3% (2, 3). Among women with menorrhagia, the prevalence is greater, and ranges from 5% to 15%. In particular, von Willebrand disease appears to be more prevalent among Caucasians with menorrhagia (4). One study suggests that 15.9% of Caucasians were found to have von Willebrand disease, compared with 1.3% of African Americans (5).

Clyde's post:
6.5% of menorrhagia cases and 0.8% of controls were classified as having vWD, or its phenocopy.
Menorrhagia = heavy menstral bleeding.

Phenocopy = Phenocopy: 1. An environmental condition that imitates (copies) one produced by a gene. 2.The person who has an environmentally-produced condition that mimics one produced by a gene. (W/ vWFactor, NOT vWDisease.

Among Caucasians, no controls and 7 cases (15.6%) were classified as affected, and in African Americans, 1 control (1.3%) and 1 case (1.4%) were so classified. Racial differences in vWF further complicate the issues surrounding diagnosis of vWD.
This is talking about racial differences in vonWillebrand F (antigen factors), NOT von Willebrand DISEASE, "hemophilia".

vWF(actor)
Hereditary or acquired defects of vWF lead to von Willebrand disease (vWD), a bleeding diathesis of the skin and mucous membranes, causing nosebleeds, menorrhagia,
Menorrhagia, or HEAVY MENSTRAL BLEEDING

and gastrointestinal bleeding. Most cases of vWD are hereditary, but abnormalities of vWF may be acquired; aortic valve stenosis, for instance, has been linked to vWD type IIA, causing gastrointestinal bleeding - an association known as Heyde's syndrome.[4]

vWD(isease)

The finding of increased vWF:Ag not accompanied by increased vWF:RCof has implications for understanding the structure-function relationships of vWF. Am. J. Hematol. 67:125–129, 2001. Published 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.

15.6% of white women had vWD
1.4% of black women had vWD
(Mulattoes?)

White women used NO controls which means ALL of them could have been vWD
black women used 1 control and 1 "case" - what's a case.... and how did they determine the 'control?' :10500:

Hemohilia (3 types)

Severe hemophiliacs with less than 1% of the normal level of factor VIII or IX in the blood have hemorrhages several times a month. The bleeding is often the result of a minor bump or twist. Sometimes, there is often no apparent cause for the bleeding.

Moderate hemophiliacs bleed less often. Their hemorrhages are often the result of minor trauma, such as a sports injury. Mild hemophiliacs have even fewer hemorrhages. They may be aware of their bleeding problem only in the case of surgery, a tooth extraction or a serious injury. Women with mild hemophilia may bleed more during menstruation (periods).
And African-American women are NOT hemophiliacs. All Clyde's post proves is that white people don't want to be the ONLY ONES  with this man/animal disease so they try to pretend black American women who have heavy menstral periods ( PUH-LESE!) are hemophiliacs, too! (they wail, frustratedly indignant).

Thanks for the opportunity to PROVE that while black people have only a half-dozen or so "genetic" diseases/conditions that EVERY race shares (heart disease, hypertension, etc.), white people have an estimated 6,000 diseases/conditions and counting - of which von Willebrand's Disease is one that no black person need ever worry about (unless they are or have a mulatto child who can inherit one or more from their white parent).[/quote]

:10500: i thought those were lifestyle diseases from eating badly?

Not everyone who eats badly is preconditioned through genetics to acquire the exampled conditions.... thus, not everyone who eats badly gets them.

Perhaps a better example of a purely genetic disease/condition would be sickle cell anemia.

Btw, contrary to what white American scientists would have us believe, Sickle Cell Anemia is NOT a black-ONLY disease/condition. It's concentrated around the Mediterranean Sea found in as many or MORE Arabs and Frenchmen, percentage-wise, than Africans. Ergo, it's a black inherited disease/condition SHARED by whites.

One other thing being black and living in America should tell you: Clyde Coger's linked study on HEAVY MENSTRAL BLEEDING that tried to include African-American women in white people's von Willebrand's Disease (FAILED!).... Why didn't they test Asian women? :10500: I'm sure there are MILLIONS of Asian-American women who have "heavy menstral bleeding". So why only white and African-American women? Prolly because of ALL races, while whites have literally thousands of genetically linked diseases, African PEOPLE have practically none. It is as James noted.... most diseases/conditions we share with whites are environmental. In Clyde Coger's linked von Willebrand's Disease "study," white scientists were not trying to prove whites "superior" (for once!) genetically to blacks, simply to prove that genetically, whites aren't outliers; that the Original People, Africans, from whom they and ALL races sprang, are no better than they are, genetically.
