I want so much to catch what I see

Descending down
almost exactly
on
top
of
me

but the wind is blowing...
cold and steady
and you don't come
near enough
to notice
that I have
always been right here
ready to break your fall

When this season
changes will
you be moved
by the currant
of the air
floating away
effortlessly
without a care

When the cool breeze picks you
up will you
be forever gone
I wait;
...I watch
to see where
you might be carried
or how far away from
me you will land ~

and I want so much to catch one leaf
of you
inside the palms of
my hands
