Black Poetry : Everytime I Rest My Eyes I wear myself Out

every time I rest my eyes
I wear myself out / dancing
an alvin ailey adagio on
the surface of my corneas
behind the curtains of my
eyes / is you / I try not
to indulge / get caught up /
in joining the hand of a
visual whisper but who you
are in the third dimension
makes the imagination a (dark)tan
gible entity so I reach
until my arms go weak / and
I seek to feel the sway of
your hips / that rock as
if wind touched flowers on
the countryside waving goodbye /
and my rest dies...and my body
cries / sweating past twelve noon
or half past midnight I move
I silouhette what you do and
dance 1-2 1-2 spin/////////
my mind into a cocoon so I can
give birth to thoughts with wings
to fly to you along synapses
an electrical response to my relapse
for the touch of you / so let
me touch you in places that my mind
uses to unwind and assassinate
the pain it erases...
