My Parallel Universe
I am so tired
tired of trying to be the one
fatigue has overwhelmed my persistence
the sweat on my brow burns my eyes
so much that my soul got blind
my mind now runs concurrent with your heart
now everything is fine
I don’t need you to need me
Even if I want to have you
Fifty-one-eight-four-hundred
That’s every minute of every day
Of yesteryear multiplied by a life time
Every day for the rest of my life
--I found my anti-you
and its my heart in a bottle
poured down the drain
now for you I feel no pain
penitent am I for taking your time
reparation I’ll serve for going out of line
I hope one day to look at you and smile
Today it hurts to even cry
these are not tears on my cheeks
they’re raindrops from the heartache in the sky
didn’t you know?
When you can’t, mother nature cries…
