Currently in the show it's 1987. I know Chris Rock is the oldest of 7 kids. I wonder if they are going to start adding other children to the show. And I was just reading Chris Rock's Bio, I seen that his dad died in 1989...which in the show will be coming up soon. They've had a few death's on the show, and they still approached them in a comical way. Since the dad is such a big part of the show, how do you think they will handle this?

I don't think they would write that into the story line.I think the show is based off of his life - but it's not autobiographical. And i don't see them expanding the cast either w/strikes and ratings - they may not pay for more actors.

I don't see that show lasting another two years.

Yea I love it to-it's a good show, but like you said. They don't give black sitcoms much of a chance now a days (lol or ever) The network it's on sucks with advertising. I think Chris Rock should either take it to another network or start putting his on money into advertising it (sorta like Tyler Perry's show) I watch Tyler Perry's show just because it's him, but in all honesty it's not even that funny.

I will freely admit that I don't love that show. But it's good to see that they are employing all the old heads from years past... Todd Bridges, Roger from What's Happening, Huggy bear...

And the 80's references kill me. You never know how tacky a decade is until it passes and people make fun of it. Plus those kids are starting to grow up and you know that's death for any series with kids in it.
