    I gratuated High School....
    Just Seventeen...
I thought about the real world...
but didn't really know what it means...

I moved 10 hrs away from home...
I was in a state all alone...
And became acquainted with its society...
I had to ensure my own reliability...

Momma never told me i had to come out my pocket for everything...
Poppa never mentioned anything about the money they didn't send me...

A struggle to make a place.
At that age i lived in disgrace...
    Handle all my responsibilities...
And i couldn't even get in a club...Let alone for free.
    And the jobs...they discriminated me...
    Adults looked down upon me...
Strangers felt sorry and yet proud of me...
When i moved out at Seventeen...

And i made it through struggle...
Now pass being even 20 years old...
But i know since 17 I've been grown...
    Hardships came and went....
And not once did i take a drink...
I couldn't even hit up a poetry session....
Grown ups and their Age Obsession...

Now i'm as legal as can be...
And nothing really seems exciting to me...
No longer struggling...and yet so proud...
I can scream my status out loud.
The struggle was hard and i made it though...
And i'm proud of anyone like me who made it too!!!!

A mine is a terrible thing to waste...Focus leads to determination. Determination leads to Success and Success should lead to personal satisfaction. Strive for what you believe in...Start with yourself for that is where you must begin....

    understanding the struggle...

...and the pride that comes with showing others that you could make it. CONGRATULATIONS. now, take that experience and make of yourself, the epitome of the QUEEN that you are. I BOW TO YOU.:)

    Wow!!!!

    I wasn't expecting all this...you guys make me feel....Appreciated.

Rich: I wonder the same thing. Me and so many of my friends do. I'm glad i took you thier. Cause if you're like me...I love memories... :)

Baller: Thank you...and i do. I have gained and earned so much at age 21. And I am proud of me and i definitely use and do everything to my own advantage. For me their is no limit unless i reach that point where i feel totally secure.... I don't ever want to be like i was back when i was 17 and in college. People say college is the bomb. I am one to quote that as a LIE. But it was worth it!!!!

Cindy: Talk about a lot in common. Am i a younger you? :p Oh well..its all good...when are sisters in life.... ;) So you changed tires on a car...Wow...That's sounds like fun..different..i was thinking of picking up another trade totally out of my norm and running with it...you know. When ever I get bored of the IT Industry...Hopefully my poetry will be well known enough to publish a book people will buy by then. Thanks for the read. And your words of wisdom...

Extract: You are absolutely right....it ain't but it makes that person stronger as an adult. Because believe me...I've seen a many week mind adult running around like they ain't got no sense. Sometimes makes me ashamed to become one. Oh well...But it is..hard scary..all that..But it can be the best years of your life. I guess it all depends on how you run wit it. As for me...I swear if could move back home with the job i got now i would. I swear it... Atleast for a year or two. Oh well...I'm here now...Might *** well make the best of it... Thanks for the read though....

    Sha

you came like you suppose to
you stepped up to the plate
and did what you had to do
    it's only one of you

    you didn't front
    on the little discomfort
but you showed you was tough
    and handled and such

you ain't got notang' to be ashamed you better be proud
    say it loud
    battle scars help us mature
    to endure
    this life of a metaphor
    and don't forget the score
    and continue to learn

    keep your head upright
    i got faith in you
