When I was a kid growing up in DC the city was 87 % Black. I could walk to school or anywhere by myself when I was six years old and nobody would bother me. I could catch the bus across town. Although It's been a few decades I don't recall there being a great number of police on the streets. In fact, in elementary school a cop came to talk to us and we were directed to call him Officer Friendly. My uncle and his teenage griends had a mentor on the police force who would councel them.

Not until the whites started moving in did DC become the murder capital of the world. Notice all the advertisements targeted at whites to take vacations in Africa. They don't seem to be worried about rape and genocide. My cousin who lives in Prince George's County thought all the violence on the news was good to keep the whites away but they seem to like this ish.
