Don’t try to rescue me with mediocrity
Tossing out life lines of disparity and charity
    DON’T…rescue me
    Leave….ME…..BE
    Let me die…
Let my soul strain to breathe and ache to survive
Let my battered burrowed brow find its peace
In the silence and stabbing resonance of…defeat?

these lines spoke volumes to me trin...
holy moses...i am in awe of your strong soulful pen once again...
    hopefully i won't wither away
b4 i read another one of your joints...:)

    one love
    khasm

    outstanding! n so many ways!

1 of the paradoxes of human xistance is that all xperience - even painful xperience - is, 4 the good reader, enjoyable when transmitted thru the medium of art. n real life, death, pain & suffering r not pleasurable, but n poetry, they may b. n real life, getting soaked n a rainstorm is not enjoyable (usually, unless 4 ex, 1 is on fire), but n poetry, it can b.

n actual life, f we cry, we r usu unhappy (or slicing onions, or unhappy we're slicing onions), but f we r at a movie, we r manifestly enjoying it. we all find som value n intense living. xceptional art focuses & organizes life xperiences so as 2 giv us a freash viewpoint of it, sometimes even allowing us 2 sample the unexperiencable (f that's a word), as does this piece.

most poetry takes n all phases of life as its domain. this piece was bold enuf 2 venture n2 death. it is truly stunningly presented, fiercly probing & insightful, and, devestatingly macbre & haunting - right up till the last 2 lines:

    and let me be
    ReBORN

this piece is truly superb. u r 1 of the most gifted authors known 2 me.

:flowers: :great: :great: :great: :great: :great:
