    My pen seemed almost empty
close to running out of ink
so I opened up this quill
and tried to fill it with what I think
I saw the most beautiful sky the
other night, like an ocean of royal blue
I tried to take those thoughts and write with
them, but the words just wouldn't flow thru.
I felt a chill in the air and enjoyed it, thought
of descriptive phrases that would convey
those billowy sensations. But when I told
my pen to speak its mind, it had nothing to say.
Then I said, well, I'll just dig deeper. Why not
write about a love that one can't seem to reach?
A life lesson that is difficult to teach?
A truth that is too painful to face?
A mistake that even time, will never erase?
All good topics, but the ink gauge still
    remains on "E".
My pen won't flow on counterfeit ink,
so for now, I'll just let it be....

Well Rich and blkangel, this is not how I really wanted to flow, but glad you two liked it. My pen isn't smokin like ya'll's are, lol. But, ages and stages, ages and stages, I guess, thanks.

Even though your rhyme is filled until its stilled
    Let thoughts of hope linger
Though the stinger penetrates your thrill
    Mind obsorbed
Fasting for a cleansing of this fad
    What has made you glad
    Thinkers rejoice in the conclusion
    Never to relapse

    Felt this loud and clear
    Bless ya!
    D.S.

Thank you for your response in flow. We all get this block sometimes, thank goodness it isn't permanent. Appreciated Desert Storm.

Hey Watz...Don't force it..when the pen is ready to speak, let it yell til it loses its voice...again.

    Peace!
