I wonder if hungry people
know that Devinci sold a
postcard size sketch today
for eleven million dollars

I wonder if they know that
devinci's been dead
quite some time now

yet their hunger still breathes

I wonder if homeless people
can understand that devinci's
postcard sketch has a new home
now

while they seek shelter under
bridges
SOciety's pointed down nose
and the standard of living

I wonder why morality has been
crippled
vertebrae smashed in by
the torch of the statue of LIEberty
and rolled around in a circle chasing
it's own tail

eleven million dollars

I'm sure those of the "2H" club
-hunger and homeless-
understand
