Too much
love, I

River, am I
Surging with springs
that seas seek

Too generous
giver, I
Love does not
kneel to drink
a drop of me

Feet, his
turning into desert places
dry him, barren
not even able to
naturally support
cultivations of 'ME'

...devoid I am not...

Less shadows,
Dew and rain - reft
...stars and comets
stare down with
sharpened faces
from heavens pitiless/ly
blue

...and at midnight sick with
faring
stoop down in his own desire
to quench the thirst
grown past all bearing

Stagnant water
searing as
fire
...dry as hell
