    Willie Jones1113.jpg One of the best known drummers in the jazz world is Willie Jones, III, whose father is also a renowned pianist and his namesake, Willie Jones, II. Willie has played with such greats as Milt Jackson, Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Roy Hargrove and played behind Ernestine Anderson.

    One of the premiere jazz venues in New York City will be featuring Mr. Jones at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Thursday, June 13th through Sunday, June 16th featuring a 7:30 pm set and a 9:30 pm set.

    Mr. Jones released his CDs Volume 1, then Volume 2 and Volume 3. His most recent is From the Next Phase and he is putting the finishing touches on his latest project "Willie Jones Plays the Songs of Max Roach.
