I can completely understand why there are people who don't smoke it but, why are you so opposed to others smoking??
I'm opposed to others smoking it because I don't think it's well for them to do so; however, if it were legalized, I wouldn't freak out but would still hold the same sentiment. It's the same way I feel with homosexuality; I'm opposed to it, but don't take time to protest, but would much rather talk it out with the individual and leave the decision to the person at hand.

Also, I think Skuderj's reasoning was very sound.

i defend gay people and i am not homosexual.
i defend pot smokers and i don't smoke anything, never have.
you need to think a wee bit deeper.

Sound like hypocracy to me. Don't claim to be a BM and go against the teachings of X, Garvey, King, etc.

Oh like when you take one to the head. (str8 no chaser or ice, right?) Don't drink and type. You're spelling suffers. And spell check can't save you because you can't see the red line under the misspelled word.

lol

Do you feel the same way about alcohol, tabacco, phramacuetical drugs, sugar, fried foods or the long list of other things that are not good for you? Not trying to be confrontational, just trying to get to the root of the opposition.

I had to reread Skuderjames's responses, the only reasoning that I saw was that he saw it as an "escape" while, I don't dispute that, there are plenty of escapes in everyday life.

Well at least hit that liquor store before it closes for the next one.

Another toxin I don't support. X, Garvey, King, etc had it right. You cant claim to be a real black man and think otherwise

For the list of things which definitely aren't and are considered not good for you, I feel more or less the same way. More or less because not everything is as devastating to one's health as it's made out to be in this hypochondriac society, I believe.

Such as sugar, I don't believe in overdoing it, but I don't find anything wrong with it; but of course others are opposed to me using it, which I don't argue much; I just use it anyway.

From my own viewpoint, I guess I've likened marijuana to cigarette smoking. That is, I don't think it's well to smoke, though I know many who do; would rather they don't smoke around me, and would rather them give it up entirely, but it's ultimately their choice, I know. I don't hate people who do it, I just don't care for smoking.

I stated my piece about skuderj because I decided to post in the thread; just was giving props, not really directed at you. lol

You do realize that you didn't really answer the questions don't you? You said that the Brothers were high and drunk but, I have yet to hear you talking (oh my bad, typing!) about the effects of the alcohol which, unless you are totally out of touch with reality, has far greater hazards not only to the user but those around him!
You are preaching to the choir! For the record, alcohol is a dangerous drug just like all of the rest of them. One is just as bad as the other, alcohol included! Does that clear up the confusion? ;)
