Dream Healing

In darkness, I cried:
"Rise sun;
touch my empty life;
blow winds;
hide me in swaying grass;
shelter me trees
from utter madness;
sing, birds
lull me to sleep!

In a dream
the muse replied:
"Why wait for nature
to heal your harried mind?
Gird yourself;
accept your destiny;
set your own spirit free.
Approach my light:
I am called Wisdom,
transcendent Teacher,
that which dispels
gloom and uncertainties–
be not afraid!"
