Black People : Dr. Umar Johnson - Interracial Relationships 3 AND 4

In "part 3", johnson states:

"The only people in this world who are interested in integration are people without power"

He goes on to say that:

"To integrate means to integrate your political and economic strength" and "When your trying to build power for your community integration is unnecessary".

Let us suppose that the last quote is not true. That there are some who do not agree with that premise; that of compromising political/economic strength via integration.
So I ask those who may share that view: What does 'integration' means where collectives are concerned? Can [group] political/economic strength be achieved or manifest in spite of integration?
