i never said youth was the problem. i said youth was the victim. hip hop rap poisoning the youth is the problem.
to change the reality, drop hip hop rap. lets move on to something positive.

Dear elder
Hip hop rap is just like any thing else it has its good values and problems as well. In my opinion reporting or expressing did not allow people to ignore them. Hell the majority of the black youth use these meduims as therapy. I don't wanna go to deep. But tu pac and biggie we not encouraging youth to kill etc. I too during my early years did not see a reason to live. I was ready to die because my spirit new this reality was not rite. Young black men are depressed and see themselves as worthless and would rather die then live in this horrible reality . That is the real problem not the music.

Brother Therious, notice that each response to my posts you keep comin with the EAST THAT WAS, and that was 20 years ago or more.

Face it bro, your own east coast slant does not even do jsutice to Bambatta's definition of HIP HOP which was all inclusive.

Stra8 up bro, the East KILLED "hip Hop" if anything when they ELIMINATED the Fifth Element of KNOWLEDGE and changed it to "Moguling" (Russel, Puffy, Jay-Z, most notably).

And that is EXACTLY what they call it "Moguling".

How can anyone blame the South, West, Hyphy, etc for following suit?

No defense here but some ya'll sound like some Eastern elitists who need to GO BACK HOME to them southern roots.

I mean...for real...the same can be said for the East Coast...Other than Kanye West and Common "A few others are the only cats to me out of the East that even try to create creative rhymes"

Every thing else is step infetchit (Puffy) signifying monkey (Busta) bling-blinging (Jay-HO-Va) "pimp music" and wanna be strippers (Kim, Foxy)...

At least the South is DIFFERENT and that's why its selling.

And as far as Nas is concerned dude done changed stripes so many times he done lost sight of who he is. Thats why no one in the West or South attend any of his shows and he cant even sell as a Headliner.

when the oppressor has his hand up your butte. when he is manipulating your art like a puppet master. when your culture has been totally corrupted and turned against you. when hip hop rap is mainly used to poison the minds of black youth. it is time to get out of the game. hip hop rap is so over.

if you are truly creative as you think you are. create something new. fresh. pure.

but that's just it.. most of the people buying the music that we are talking about are not black people....

but hiphop is not used to corrupt youths minds .... only a percentage of it...

I gladly accept that challenge.. I like to be challenged... I'm working on it....
