Black Spirituality Religion : Does the Return Justify the Investment?

to say it another way; somebody has to get there first and then figure out how to explain to "the collective" that they are already here. additonally, or first, one must convince "the collective" that they already are a collective. (define "collective" in such a way as to not define it as "a part of".) but, like everything else that "we know", picking it apart with words just breaks stuff up into pieces that have very little bearing on the whole.

sometimes one doesn't quite see where one is when one is so busy struggling to get there. (to paraphrase either the uncertainty principle or the theory of relativity: "knowing the speed of something, one can not determine it's location. knowing the location of something, one can not determine it's speed.")

we are masters of the study what u speak however we are novices in regards to the practice of what u speak. The art of experience has been replaced by the art of reading and writing. WE all know to talk what u speak however we have humbly not perfected the pratice of. This is my humble opinion. :luv:

Brother Emanuel Goodman ... Peace and Blessings ... it's not often i get to interact directly with you, such a pleasure.

The Practice Of ... now that is powerful and good! :toast:

What people do, and not what they say ... yes yes yes ... i can get with that!

So what should we be DOING ? Let's turn this energy into actions, producing desired returns!

Peace and Blessings Family,

Does the energy and effort we put into "religion / spirituality" produce the kind of results we're seeking?

Or do we continually put the energy in, never having realized the results we seek?

I ask this question because we put lots of energy into "religion / spirituality" ... (name any one, for we've given them all lots of energy) ... yet it seems most agree that none of this has produced any quantitative, collective, measurable, results for our people.

In spite of this glaring reality, we continue diligently, doing the very same thing ... and, unfortunately, getting the same results.

I'm looking for and expecting a collective return, that matches our collective investment.

You all know that our people are some of the most "religious / spiritual" in the world, yet we maintain the bottom rung of most every indicator known to man.

With this fact in mind, i'm wondering, are our energies misdirected ... or are we satisfied in receiving a return in the "sweet by and by" ... happy to live like we are, until we die?

Does the return we get from "religion / spirituality" justify the investment we put in?

What other vehicle would we continually put so much into, never seeing a comparable return?

In a word...NO.

What we are doing is INSANITY. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

For some reason we seem to believe that if we are perfect in our religion/spirituallity that all will be well. WE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE THINK LIKE THIS.

We don't seem to grasp the concept that ALL of the ills in our community are DIRECTLY related to ECONOMICS first. They are fighting the war of economics and we keep on fighting small battles of religion/spirituality.

Why do we equate our success as a people with spirituality? It is a mistake to do this. They are certainly not more moral, spiritual, religious, or righteous than us, so one can VERY EASILY conclude that it is NOT those things that are the reasons for their prosperity. They are prosperous IN SPITE of the GREED, HATE, THEFT, MURDER, ENSLAVEMENT, AND MENTAL WARFARE that they have been a part of forever. So, it is obvious that the creator does not punish things like that (at least on earth).

With this being said, if we put our respective sprituality/religion aside so that we can become a COLLECTIVE group moving towards ECONOMIC change, we can get somewhere. But, UNTIL THEN...we will be stuck in the insanity of our respective spiritualities and religions.

well, no we aren't; we are just more visible about it without as many "contaminants" as others.

see "economics: crash course" in the money/business forum: "economics" seem to be falling apart.

sure, one can conclude this if one has totally bought into their way of "thinking". Spirituality predates both "religion" and "economics".
They are prosperous IN SPITE of the GREED, HATE, THEFT, MURDER, ENSLAVEMENT, AND MENTAL WARFARE that they have been a part of forever.
no, not "in spite of", but "because of".
So, it is obvious that the creator does not punish things like that (at least on earth).
that depends on which time frame one uses. who says that "the Creator" uses a time frame that is as shortsighted as man's?

With this being said, if we put our respective sprituality/religion aside so that we can become a COLLECTIVE group moving towards ECONOMIC change, we can get somewhere. But, UNTIL THEN...we will be stuck in the insanity of our respective spiritualities and religions.
Reverance for Life is not "insanity". shortsightedness should prolly be reclassified as such though.

One Spirituality, many "religions".
"perfecting" our "religion" leads to Spirituality.
as long as we further attempt to "put our ... pirituality ... aside" we will be no better than they are: desecrators of this Gift from the Creator.
