Black People : Does Silence Really Speak Volumes ?

Does it really speak volumes, and if so in what circumstances? Or do people who are prone to creating drama use that when a person refuses to participate in it? I've felt for the most part that there is a time to be silent and there is a time to speak. Serious question though.

Yes, it speaks volumes. But that doesn't mean you can always decipher it. This is where body motion and eye contact usually help figure out what's meant [or not meant] to be communicated.

And yes, there is a time for silence and a time for words. I'd rather go for silence than always running off at the mouth; silence can be filled in, if inquired, but words cannot be taken back in, once put forth.
