I doubt it.

I believe we have lots of kindred spirits that we could select from for a significant other. I don't think the person needs to be a perfect fit at the outset. If the basics are in place, I think many people can be molded to become a perfectly satisfying kindred spirit, but the "basics" must be there at the outset.

Also, another problem is that many people can't see their kindred spirit or the many potential ones around them because so many of us have been programmed to cross people off the list due to their exteriors.
