Yes Brother Sekhemu ... i do all the time.
I'll even do it right now, because i feel so good about the friendship that has developed between us over the years. I'm honored to know you, and appreciate so much the fact that we were able to go through all the fuss'n and fight'n that we did, ultimately arriving at this place ... where we never fight any more!
I love and appreciate you for allowing me to know this pleasure.
Yes, i compliment men all the time in public, though it doesn't always pertain to a physical attraction to them, but sometimes rather to an endearing behavior i witnessed. Not all are appreciative...but then some are.
see what you don' did.
You don' shamed me, now I gotta go get you some flowers :run:
You know you fine right Destee,
Pan still tryin to hook us up .
I hear ya Sistah.
I compliment men and women in public. I tell them if they smell nice, look nice, or doing an outstanding job at something. I smile at them and say hello all the times. I start conversations on the bus, at the bus stop, and at school. And it doesn't matter what they look like or what they got on.
Yes, I compliment about job performance or a funny joke--but nothing related to their appearance or sexuality.
Maybe I should clarify the question.
Do women compliment Black men as often and/or in the manner that Black men compliment women? and if not, why?
Well I could understand why you wouldn't sista, after all you do have a man.
I'm referring to single women.
You mean like, If he has a nice smile, nice eyes, and so on?
If so, sometimes, I don't think it's more than men complimenting women though. That's a tough call. I'm only one women comparing myself to many men, but if I compare myself to one man, then it might be almost even.
Separate names with a comma.
