No, I don't think our issues really matter to the current candidates. I do think our votes matter to them. The way they frame their words do not give much promise to actions to be taken, imo.

Agreed. We cannot know who will do what will happen in the future. But, I think we can agree that the only reason the Dems are even acknowledging #BlackLivesMatter is because the group forced their hands.

And, in he debates, imo, there was a lot of jargon along the lines of " If I am elected I will be looking into it.". They have known about racism, police brutality, and the economic disparities etc., forever. Now they are acting like they are brand new.

Though I also remain unconvinced the Obama administration has done much to resolve our issues and problems

Any new black person of either gender seeking to be this nation's president has to truly be about advancing our peoples best interests too

To be an affective political constituency, you must play the money game. We don't do that. A few years ago, I tried to get black people to form, BlackPAC. With every black person contributing $10-$20. Gays played that game and we see the results of it today
