Black Poetry : Do Dreams Have Hands?

I didn't know that
DREAMS had hands
that hold me to be breast
fed on promise
so I believe that tomorrow
will come

I didn't know that
DREAMS could pull me in
so that I could inhale her voice
and emit her sighs through
my eyes....I see that
she is LOVE

[and I and U could be DREAMS
in the center of a transluscent blue
sphere.......and WE
could exist as travelling clouds
on a circular sky that encompasses
the universe]

I didn't know that DREAMS
could copulate with my mind
and impregnate my thoughts
with images of you

I didn't know that DREAMS
had hands to hold us in LOVE

[and U and I
could be DREAMS that chase each other
around the rings of Saturn then
just hang out on the belt of Orion
or be two galaxies that exchange
pleasantries over Mt. Zion]

I didn't know that DREAMS had hands
that send us into each others arms
even when we're not
together.
