Do black people need to be led? Is the entire concept of the Black Leader just a sort of preemptive destructive suggestion that would allow the white power structure control of the African population through a bought and paid for proxy? ie.. He controls us but they control him?.. control by proxy? The entire concept of LEADER appears to me today to live along the same lines as KING.. and HERO.. and MESSIAH... and I have real and lasting issues with all of those concepts.. (and I say today because it wasn't until this moment that that idea crystallized in my mind.) who can lead except by force, 30 million people? No one. Each person that acts leads, even when they act in concert under the direction of a central figure.. Their leading is in their choosing to act.. What we need in my opinion are not leaders but Strategists, Organizers, Activists, Coordinators, Facilitators, Educators, etc.. all plying their craft for our sake.. toward the unified purpose of worldwide African Liberation (physical, psychological, economic / political, social and spiritual. We dont need dudes in shiny suits portending to represent us.. we are right here, we dont need representation. What we need is action.. and the order in which the people move is not nearly as important as the movement itself. Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?
