Sweet Anna Mae, where are you now?
My breath is shallow just thinking of
how we held each other so close like
    gloves in your Minneapolis winter.
It seems so long ago now
but I can still feel where my
    hands touched and the surprise
I felt to know it was myself.
    The feeling of pure pleasure
    that rollicked though my soul
in the thought that my arms
could wrap about you so completely
still makes me woozy and weak.
Around you and back to me.
It felt right and good, hand to glove,
a perfect match in a blissful moment.
Sweet Anna Mae, where are you now?

    Dizzy

    First real love

I never knew you could hold a woman that tight--until your arms touch yourself--I still get short of breath thinking how magic that moment was--I wish I would have appreciated it more at the time--Ra

    maybe it is better

maybe the memory is better--it ages well with time--and we seem to make it just a bit better than it was--still, that first one is hard to forget--Ra

this was absolutely beautiful...so poignant...so vivid and I'm feeling your response as well:

"maybe the memory is better--it ages well with time--and we seem to make it just a bit better than it was..."

    maybe, but then again... :)

thank you for sharing your memory ~ it brings a flood of wonderful ones in all of us, I'm sure.
