I might as well try to reach through a rock
I can't see any reflection in the pools
    my note is unique
    no one can play it
it's like being at a subway station
but I keep missing the connection
I'm having my side of the conversation
    from another planet
my skin is crying out for touch
    it's a wonder I haven't been sick
my hands pressed against the glass
    how I do get through
    I don't want what's on the surface
I want to plunge into the depths
    beyond this place, but
I don't want to go alone
    I'm casting out
    will anyone take my line

Someone will surely connect hook, line, and sinker. Feeling like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. I feel ya here, gotta find those square holes--they're out there. Love your introspective scribes.

This was a thought provoking piece, Gempis. I loved it. Continue to cast out your line, the right people will catch your hook.

Gempis this was nice but let me drop a line up in here doe

Be sparked about remarks, hell! I see dark in my future
Can’t share my level being a dare devil dressed in red
Stressed and misled about kingpins, sling men dead
From church steeples too much people starting to dread
My script, stay on pagers and lay them wagers on horses
Gamble but can’t handle losing doe, cravers has no choices

You have such way of making a person FEEL exactly what you are communicating...This pulsated through every fiber of my being...to the point where I felt old emotions re-surface from past and present experiences...

The wonderful thing is that...change is constant and if you made it to that place, you'll make it out...and the line is never cast for naught...

You are an incredible writer...and thanks for writing again...I've waited :coffee:
