Disappearance of Innocence: My Apology to the Princess

After a year of romantic failure
Your soul began to haunt me
My dreams began to taunt me
Plaguing me with thoughts of your love

I remember the nights we used to spend together
The first night that started out as playful, soon became intense
Our beautiful friendship began to grow with our very first kiss
A kiss that meant the world to me
Our love could no longer resist

In unison, we surrendered ourselves to the moment
Your lips tasted so sweet
Our tongues created a mind of its own, as they began to dance to our newfound passion
Within seconds, temperature in the room began to rise

Princess…
I’m sorry for giving you such an experience
The disappearance of innocence

We were making the perfect love story
Three years of friendship, before we evolved
I grew to love you so much
You always greeted me with that beautiful smile
From the first day I placed eyes on you
I knew you were someone special
At the time, I didn’t have a clue
I just knew something drew me to you

Princess, I’m sorry
I’m sorry I failed you when you needed me most
I’m sorry that I backed away
I should’ve never kissed you…
Touched you…
Caressed you…
Wrapped my arms around you…
Trying to balance the tight rope of friendship and romance
I should’ve known better
I know it’s too late for second chances
But, I’m NEVER gonna make that same mistake again

Princess…
I’m sorry for giving you such an experience
The disappearance of innocence

My promise was to never be the one to hurt you
My commitment was to keep you happy
I messed up…there’s no poetic way to say it
I was too immature to handle the responsibilities of emotions…
I failed you

Princess…
I’m sorry for giving you such an experience
The disappearance of innocence

so many emotions,
which one do you choose.
to let that person go,
is what you must do.
take away the hand,
that gave here love.
let it all go,
give her a shove.
it will hurt you now,
and she'll understand it later.
you were the one she loved,
and that's why you're not the player.........(LOVE IT) (ADD ME)
