Did you have an idea of what you wanted in a wife before you found her?
When I was 22 I only needed a wife to be pretty, have a career and be good with children. Now, 32 years later in my second marriage, my wife has these
attributes, but they were not priorities this time around. This time around I decided to go on a quest to find the perfect woman. I made a list and started searching for someone that met most of ideals. Almost a year and half later and 4 women, I found my wife to be. Did she match everything on my list? NO! She actually had qualities I didn't have on my list. So I asking men, did you go on a quest to find your queen?
Did you have an idea of what you wanted in a wife before you found her?
No, I had no idea what I wanted.
I had no idea that I wanted to ever get married.
I planned for bachelorhood. I learned to cook, clean, and sew.
I was dating several women and had a black book that was in demand from my friends. This book was so in demand they once jumped me, stripped me to my shorts and placed me on a bus stop.
They waited for the bus to come, to embarrass me. Then they thru down my clothes. I still got away with the book.
I was visiting my cousin one summer and he took off.
I was walking around the community and stopped by a local pool.
I looked thru the fence and saw a few fellows I knew in the area.
They were pulling on a female and she was fighting mad.
I couldn't enter the area. I was not a resident. So I watched thru the fence.
My female cousin came up.. I asked her do you know her?
My cousin said yes.. I asked do you know where she lives? I then asked her to introduce us. For me I was attracted to this woman
at first site.
My cousin took me over the next day. She knocked, introduced me.
I said hello and the woman stated she had no interest in me and slammed the door in my face.
I went away for two years. I attended school in the city she was in the county. Then we met again. My family moved into her county actually on her street. This I didn't know right away.
I was still attending school in the city. So I was riding the bus. I even lived in our other home we kept in the city.
On the bus was this young lady. I was trying to date this young lady. I told her she reminded me of someone. She turned out to be this woman's first cousin. In my final year of high school.
I transferred to the high school. She was there. So now she was watching me and disapproving of my flight with the women. It was none of her business... I was doing my thing.
I met these two guys and they wanted to play basketball. So we played and they invited me to stop by their home for some soft drinks and hanging out.
When they opened the door. There this woman was. I said to her you keep popping up in my life. Can we at least get to know each other.
The rest is history...dated in high school, dated thru college, dated years after and got married... now it is thirty seven years later.
I was not on a quest... Fate and Destiny kept bringing her before me.
How many coincidences do a fellow need pushed into his face to know.
Do something about it!
