Yes it goes deep and wide. How do we practice African values in a society that does not respect those values? Black women are already controlling their money and excelling in the job market. The difference is they are doing it as individuals and not for the collective good of African Americans.

That in ancient Yoruba culture (from which most of us here in the US descended) the control of the money was assigned to the woman through the markets. Sooo. the idea that a man is supposed to be the bread winner is actually a eurocentric idea.
