One also has to contrast what some just did for their own sakes as well as our people...

The two aren't usually the agendas of the same people, whatever the popular misconceptions, i. e., via a mainstream media, few of the second have any influence over, let alone no control of...

As the likes of Michelle Martin etc. about that too!

    FYI

    As Salaam Alaikum!

    Did we overcome? NO.
We just keep letting ourselves be bamboozled and hoodwinked by our open enemies.

The definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

That's a 60s chant and prayer, "We shall overcome". Invented by Civil Rights Blacks who sought to assimilate, I mean intergrate. Remember when the Confederates were fighting to uphold slavery there were Blacks in their ranks who fought willingly. I think this issue here is, are we all the same people? I don't think so. At least I don't want the spoils of selling out attributed to my ancestral heritage. I may not have any relatives that became head of anything but then again I've never had any that sold their souls. That is the true victory. To face the tyranny of the enemies of my people and never bow and support that evil.

    No.

Picking out falcons out of a horde of pigeons doesn't make them all birds of prey.

So showing a few picts of millionaires and those in position of potential power doesn't make the struggle which was fought for complete.

This is similar to Caucasians saying racism is over because of electing a mulatto to the presidency

Indeed Mr Khasm.. but isn't there an intrinsic relationship between each side of the equation?.. between rich and poor.. powerful and powerless..? doesn't there existence rely on each other? so.. isn't it really a trade-off?.. could all black people ever be rich.. or middleclass.. and untouched by the so-called criminal justice system?.

The truth of the matter is.. capitalism at its fundamental base requires an underclass to operate. Without that underclass, the structure falls flat. Race slavery served the function of providing that underclass for hundreds of years.. and when it came time for it to end.. a new system emerged to serve that same purpose. In this system.. for black people to thrive.. there must be some separation between black people.. and one side must be sacrificed to the underclass.. in order for the other to move on up.. and that is what is happening.. and has been happening for our entire history after the first form of slavery ended.
