King James is said to be having issues with his new coach, the first outright Israeli/Jewish player and coach to head the Cleveland Cavaliers staff hired a month after James is cited making comments of forming a boycott against the NBA.

LeBron James says he will lead player boycott if Sterling owns Clippers next season

will he do this a second time on the CAVS ?

LeBron James prepared to leave Cleveland Cavaliers in offseason
LeBron James' heralded return to the Cleveland Cavaliers has not followed the fairy tail storyline every anticipated as of yet.
    Tough times
The figure head of a team that has struggled to find consistency so far in the 2014-15 campaign, LeBron has on numerous occasions voiced his concerns about team mentality and a lack of progression towards where he, and his teammates, want the franchise to be.
Only yesterday James admitted the Cavs were "not very good in every aspect" of the game, and, according to Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes, the NBA superstar is prepared to quit the team for a second time should things fail to change.

this is a misleading post, wondering why you chose to post unflattering pictures of James and a powerful picture of the white boy.

Not confused in the least bit,

the title of that book is not what it seems, slaves do not make 40 million dollars,a slave has no freedom Lebron can walk away from basketball if he wanted to tomorrow. I respect William Rhoden, and have not read this book, yet it is on my list. However the NBA players union is more powerful than the NFL, the NBA has guaranteed contracts, and they run the league. Lebron's return to Cleveland had everything to do with him wanting a title for his home town, and not gilbert's wishes. we should not be so quick to throw that slave label around. Lebron is a smart man, and he loves the city in which he grew up in.

    Dan Gilbert:

    Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

    Just watch.

    Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

    Dan

Sounded like the Confederacy talking about one of their top producing slaves, that decided to use his freedom as a freeman and go North.

The imagery in the OP follows the question of the OP.

A contrasting imagery and wordage would be this...

"Is Lebron James becoming the renewed idea of a Black Athlete, in the face of a slave master mentality that is within professional sports?"

Michael nor Kobe expressed their ideals in public venues, especially not their own place of employment (don't rock the boat).

There were many instances that begged to ask the question of what star black athletes thought about social issues, even if they were to just reveal some sort of symbolic gesture.

The one black athlete that comes to mind in their expressions was Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (Chris Jackson)

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf caused an uproar when he sat out the national anthem

    http://www.si.com/vault/1996/03/25/...an-uproar-when-he-sat-out-the-national-anthem

The wispy-thin point guard decided at the beginning of the 1995-96 season that he would not stand and salute the United States flag during the national anthem before games. Few noticed this for a long time. Abdul-Rauf would just stretch for the entirety of the song or stand there with his hands on his hips, never making eye contact with Betsy Ross's greatest work of art.

It wasn't until March that this was finally outed by a local reporter. In Abdul-Rauf's own words, the newspaper reporting the story only posted a "small blurb" in print. But the next day, media requests for Nuggets practice tripled.

On March 12, 1996, commissioner David Stern passed down a one-game suspension to Abdul-Rauf for his refusal to stand. Two days later, the NBA compromised, forcing Abdul-Rauf to stand during the playing of the national anthem, but allowing him to close his eyes and look downward. Abdul-Rauf decided to say a Muslim prayer quietly to himself instead, but the damage had been done.

Ultimately, Abdul-Rauf decided that standing during the national anthem and saluting the American flag wasn't a part of his Islamic belief system. Abdul-Rauf's willingness to stay strong for what he believed in ultimately helped lead to an early exodus from the NBA and played a role in our faded memory of his game.

Main reason Adam Silver had to ban Sterling, was because it would have opened the door to more owners being examined.
