This is horse-poo...brothers and sisters need to stop making movies like this when the root cause here is self-hate and lack of self-knowledge.

Brother ShemsiEnTehuti ... thanks for sharing.

What was ironic about the clip above, was where the Brother was talking about how he's tired of angry Black Women, like the Mother of his daughter, and her friends ... but then he says ... "Now where is my daughter?"

Unfortunately, Brothers and Sisters are putting this messed up energy on the babies, no matter how much they try to deny it.

What is he saying to his daughter, a young Black Woman to be, if he's tired of Black Women and believing he can only find peace in the bed of a white woman (or some other woman).

    So sad.

ps ... ANDDDDDDDDDDD ... all those Sisters had their hair straightened, like the white woman they claim to hate so much ... so ironic ... so sad.

Indeed, what kind of message is that to your daughter?...and if he had a son, that is destructive to the next generation of the Diasporic African family because he will seek out women of another race for his future wife. I would be willing to bet that Europeans, Latinos, Asians, and every other ethnic group have relationship issues just as bad if not worse than ours. However, we are the only ones making stupid films pondering the thought of abandoning our women or men of our "race".

no other race had to go through what we had to go through in terms of our family core being disregarded and broken up for over 400 hundred years. no other race of man were used like the black man(labor, breeding). no other race of women were used like the black woman(labor, white mans love toy).
it is obvious that we still have problems coming together and i'm afraid that we no longer look at the root to these problems, just the effects of them.
i'm thankful for movies like this because at least they are opening up the floor for discussion, just like the color purple, how stella got her groove back and dissapearing acts. in conclusion i must say that unfortunately, we are proving that willie lynch was one of the smartest men alive because his outline to making slaves is still producing slaves....the only thing we have to combat this is communication and understanding...

    one love

    Peace,

You gotta see the whole movie from start to finish to get it. I sometimes use it as a teaching tool. Definitely not a movie where you watch a few scenes out of context.

    Peace
