They didn't and don't need outsiders to show them how to help themselves!

They do need grassroots leaders to speak up/out/etc. about how rich whites are out to remake it Detroit over into their preferred image, 2012..

Downtown Detroit is literally off limits to more than a handful of its black employees, and/or on lockdown, i. e., just so a bunch of (mostly white) outsiders can party at its ballpark/three casinos, etc...
