I had a few, to know them is to love and appreciate their undying loyalty. The title is a bit ... weird ... to me.
It could be because I am a pet owner now and find all of the above reasonable.
I do remember a time when I had different views, prior to owning a pet.
But now ... I enjoy watching dog videos ... especially rescue ones.
My heart goes out to the little doggies that get mistreated and am glad there is someone to save them.
I've often thought that I want to make cute little home videos of Black, I just don't have the wherewithal.
I do see videos of black pet owners, trainers, etc., very passionate about their animals as well.
I don't see it as a goofy white owner thing.
In fact, my daughter use to dress her puppy up in sweaters and things.
Here he (Duke Ellington) is, dressed to impress :
He never seemed to enjoy it, but she did it, and my daughter is black ...
Recently Duke started randomly peeing on his self ... he's 14 years old now (senior citizen in dog years) ... and she sent me pictures of him in a diaper ... ... so cute ... he looks miserable in it, like he did in the sweaters of days gone by ... but at least this time it's more of a necessity. He only has to wear it at night, and the first time she put it on him, by morning he had removed it. It was still intact, just off. We laughed at how it would not even be intact for 1 minute on Black. He would have it in shreds ... he simply is not a "dress me up" kinda guy ... but I'd try it if I thought he'd cooperate.
Symbol of America ... I think you need a pet ...
Much Love and Peace.
