Keita said:If we are to rely upon history as a roadmap, then we must consider that we as a people may very well be repeating it once again...which means that we did not learn anything from it. Our people saved and brought Europeans out of darkness twice. once with Greece and during the so called Middle ages. Now America is on a rapid decline in every area of power except military. Should an African man become President he will be a "preservationist or conservist" for this country. The problem is that, "what are we conserving and for who?" As African people in this country we do not have any history that we would want to conserve. Since we exist in a capitalist society capitalism can not exist unless there's some one on the bottom to capitalize off of. Every group has already let us and America know that it will not be them.
In order for Obama to attempt even if he wanted to, the issues of black people is to sway the balance of power from white to others non-white. The white people in this country will not themselves allow it. In fact, Obama could be the beginning of a race war all by himself. His assassination would be enough for even the most blind to see and understand that he was killed all because he was black. There are over 300 white supremist para-military groups in America waiting for the signal to start killing black people and any whites that support our rise. Since our people and their people are now fighting for the same economic plate so to speak, an election of Obama would be like snatching food out of their babies mouths.
Obama getting in would be like Cory Booker as the mayor of Newark. Like Cory he would have to prove that he has the white peoples concerns at hand and will do whatever is needed to get them to look past his skin color...which means that we as black people will not be benefiting at all.
