    Derrick Blakley On The Anniversary Of The 1964 Civil Rights Act

    Derrick Blakley grew up during the civil rights movement and says he owes his successful career to the important legal changes brought forth from the signing of the law 50 years ago. When people ask him how he got his first job, he says: "Martin Luther King got me my first job." The act "transformed the lives of many African Americans, and I was one of them," Blakley said.
