Wonder is this low unemployment rate of 9.1% could have anything to do with a 5th of their population leaving the island after Maria, most not moving back.

And this does not even show other countries that they migrated to. DR received a few to go along with the Venezuelans.

Plus I wonder where/how the PR government is going to come up with the 100 million for their share. As the country is BROKE.

What the unemployment rate really shows is that those that could afford to leave left! an the majority of the unemployed are still there. It's really not that big a rate drop compared to a 5th of the population leaving.

No sympathy, at this late date. They have had a year to either go back an repair what they had or find a job in the US.
Seem to be plenty of those to be had with an unemployment rate in the low 4%. Plenty of people working with the ladys health problems.
Agree with some of the comments. why did FEMA put them up in NY. other areas would have been much cheaper and with the same benefits.
She tried public housing for 1 night but the toilet did not work right and was not fixed fast enough. Was probably fixed much faster than it would have been in PR before the hurricane. :hammer:
