    in a dreaming state I...
    contemplate
    in my mind

    conscious ~vs~ subconscious

    truth ~vs~ lie

    demons in my dream

    calling in...

    blinded by
    salty tears

    shared fears of ancestors

    of tribal rhythms burn they...
    can't dance
    shackles L o C k E d
    on ankles

    they...
    can't sing their

    S c R e A m E s

    resulting from the whip
    left them hoarse

    they...
    pray in native tonue

    ancestors praying protection

    ...

when I wake with eyes a blurr
    I ask God,

    "What does this all mean?"

    when you

think about, read about, know about....what was done to African men and women when they were captured, forced onto slaveships and then used as slaves, it makes you truly question how a human body and spirit can endure so much pain, of very form....and still stand strong..a lesson to be learned...
