    There have been certain people
Who have been an influence on my life
I may be white but I know the power behind history
    Shakespeare
"To thine own self be true"
    Langston Hughes
    A bold and intelligent man
"I swear to the Lord, I still can't see,
Why Democracy means, Everybody but me."
    Abraham Lincoln
    Fought for freedom
"A house divided against itself cannot stand."
    Frederick Douglas
    "Without a struggle,
    there can be no progress."
    Jackie Robinson
    Broke the color barrier
    In major league baseball
    John F. Kennedy
"Mankind must put an end to war,
Or war will put an end to mankind."
    Martin Luther King Jr.
    An impact on America
"We must learn to live together as brothers
    or perish together as fools."
    Robert Kennedy
"If any man claims the Negro should be content ...
let him say he would willingly change the color of his skin
and go to live in the Negro section of a large city.
Then and only then has he a right to such a claim."
    Neil Armstrong
    First on the moon
"That's one small step for man,
    one giant leap for mankind."
    Robert Frost
    Great poet
"Poetry is what gets lost in translation."
    Gandhi
    "Freedom is not worth having
if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes."
So many to put on paper
History has made the world today
With out these people what would you say?
    How would you live
These people had so much passion to give
Made the world better for today
    Acknowledgement!

Your words are true and well defined. We as people are so wrapped up in the world today and how we are treated and what goes on we sometimes forget those who made it a better place.... Thanks for reminder....

I am. I don't have very much time anymore though. I haven't seen much of you stuff lately either. What happened? Your flow is the bomb. Come on now lets see some of that passion.

True. So true. Can you imagine what it would be like in the late eighteen hundreds? Or in the twenties? I reckon it would suck big time. Thanks for your words they mean a lot.
