Ghostdog...

There were several movies made during the nineties that attempted
to shed light on the harsh life of inner city life, the ghetto, gangs, poverty...etc.
Some quite effective...some not...

Couldn’t help but notice your age...but if you enjoyed this movie, then
you must see "Menace to Society"...it will make this movie...by far, a pale
comparison
of the life that is being depicted in both movies.
The movie was directed by Albert & Allen Hughes (the Hughes Brothers).
It features the following actors/actress : Tyrin Turner, Larenz Tate,
Jada Pinkett, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Also, if you have not seen "Boyz in the Hood"...this is also a classic
and they tend to out shine SC. Unlike "South Central" and "Boyz in the Hood"
there is no "moral" message being shoved down the viewers throat.

They were all filmed in the following order:

Boyz in the Hood...1991
South Central...1992
Menace to Society...1993

Be sure to let me know what you think, once you've seen it...I'd still like
to know if you think SC is the deepest movie... :wink:after you've seen MtS.

I have a few to name. 2001 a space Odyssey. This movie dropped a lot of metaphysical "markers". The black Monolith should speak for itself. Another movie was the X-files Movie. ONce again. a black substance threatening "mankind" this time. A substance that was hear from the beggining resurrected to eradicate a relatively new being on the planet. hmmmmmm? who could that be? I wonder
