albany, ga - "da country"
Occupation
technical director
a deeeeep connection
spiritual affection
that supercedes lifetimes
makes clocks unwind
in a new dawn
spawned from eternal coagulation
captivating sensations
drawn upon a magic kissably close
most often regarded without question
that section not quite overlooked
but booked to capacity
mapped out sensationally by wanton wizards
listing blizzards of passion
cupped in fashionable wordsong
in flight for a long journey
turning upon moons left junction
functioning as a chance for moments captured
after chase turns into catch
the next batch more tasty than the first
no need to rehearse the soft ending
hearts bending around conga beats
tapping air with no surface
serving purposes not yet realized
while closed eyes whisper open prayers
daring anything to separate this union
soon to be a catalyst for more reservations
building nations of soulseekers
paying homage to forgotten teachers
telling truths of my familiar
circling a delirium of touch
yes i too like this much
as such in desire of that deeeeep connection
spiritual affection
no longer will it roam
to the east backwards
floating with that flow
tracing a path that leads me home...

Wow.....

I don't know what is going on this morning, but I am being treated to one awesome peace after another. This one is nothing less than captivating. I actually had to stop and regroup halfway through this. A truly ethereal experience. I'm honored to be the first to read this. So thankful we crossed paths this a.m.

Wow. Your imagery is beautiful and SO powerful! The dynamic energy of this piece reached out and grabbed me, pulled me in. I had to stay for a while and let it wash over me like a warm, healing bath. You're gifted Derrick, and the gentle strength of your spirit shines through in this poem like the North Star. Shine on, my dear brother, and continue to bless us with your words.
