    COLOURED WOMEN

    stitching
    lively
    to life
    knowing
    how tight
    to tie
    each cord
    how loose
    to leave
    each thread
    for a KENTE
    meshing
    of pain
    & promise
    of how to
    & hope
    into todays'
    tapestry
    bloodied
    but bright
    a sullen& shiny
    memorable quilt
    of so full
    soulful
    LOVE
