I totally agree. I think the letter symbolizes the ideology of the time. You can't refute that.river said:The effectiveness of the Willie Lynch philosophy is in no way dependant on the authenticity of the physical speech or the historicity of william Lynch himself. In fact Mr. Lynch is indeed a personification and synecdoche for a philosophy that predates him by thousands of years.
Is there one suggestion or tactic in the speech which whites have not put to full utilization? Right down to tying a Black man to two horses and ripping him apart in front of his wife and children - whoever wrote the speech had a wealth of fully documented historical events to draw from.
So debunking the exoteric story as a myth in no way takes from the importance of this speech. In fact Willie Lynch is probably more effective as a myth than he would be if this were an actual isolated man writing an isolated speech.
This is true, brotha Moorf. Just because he said there is no record doesn't mean there is none. I've heard people try to say there was no slavery. It doesn't really matter one way or the other since the ideology is still there. what matters is in the minds of those who think it matters and will return to the way they were before they read about Willie Lynch.Moorfius said:Hotep
This is a interesting point, however what is the point? All of the thousands of African Amerikkkan "Men and Women" "Lynched"?! !
How did hanging become "Lynching"? The mentality it took to throw a "Picnic" with a "Circus" atmosphir with sadistic BBQ pits with food to sell the (whites only) hungry mobs, while the whole (white-racist) family came out for the (entertainment) "Lynching" of your (Black) Ancestors is the only point that is. Damb the mind, actions and the letter or lack there of, makes "No" difference, the "Facts' still remain the "Same". Willie Lynch is,... George Bush, KKK, FBI, ADL, CIA, USA etc.
