broken bones and a broken heart
    don't know where to start
to end today what love began
    only to begin again
    caught in life or lies
    from sunset to sunrise
    who knows what tomorow brings
    silent pain or joyful things
or maybe we will praise the day
when love returns to fade away
as many things come and go
in life's eternal ebb and flow
    taking good with the bad
    some happy and some sad
to forget what we already knew
love heals then tries to kill you
and yet we continue to thrive
maybe it's what keeps us alive
