I wouldn't (watch in the theatre*). Though I did not watch "School Daze," from the snippets, I feel that it was about gaining acceptance from Black people. This seems to be getting acceptance from White people (or rejecting acceptance from White people.)

Either way, we need to stop focusing on White people are our 'leisure class.' Really--what are students building that I should care a lick about student dramas?

*I'm a bit bias, as I do not watch movies in the theatre.

    Your right ABS,...

We black folks tend to apply the mess we see on tv and then apply that same mess into our lives. We shouldn't have to have white people or any other non-color folks play on our intelligents. We are not obligated to report on the black experience to any non-colored folks who could care less about us. The way i saw it ....non- folks feel that they can play with our minds and twist it a bit..

But really tho....I still want to see it just to see what the outcome will be..

I don't sympathize with this ilk of our folk. Like what's this about White people touching your hair? It's obviously because you co-opt.
